I can't do it again...

How did I do it last time?

I lost a lot of weight leading up to the wedding.

I didn't touch chocolate or fast food in almost 5 months.

And when they wedding was over, I pretty much packed all the weight back on, and then some.

I'm not saying I'm obese or anything, but I know this isn't the size I want to be.

Especially coming into summer, when last summer I bought new clothes, and this summer I can't fit into them!

But I just can't stop eating chocolate. Its frustrating me. I think, I'm doing really well, when for a 5 k run yesterday, haven't eaten too much bad food today.

Then I get into the chocolate and before I know it, the whole block is gone. What is wrong with me.

I know the only person who can stop me is me. But really, it's my own fault for letting myself go after the wedding.

I really hate myself for doing that!

But alas, there are people worse off then me.

So I will savour this last piece of chocolate for the day. And go for a run tomorrow and try and start again.

How on earth did I do it last year!

  1. Oh Kate. I feel you! I have to keep chocolate out of the house or it'll get eaten. As well as Milo, Nutella and tim tams. They're my evils!

  2. I'm like this with ice cream! When my husband gets me a bowl, I look at it and think "what, only two scoops". When I get it myself, it's like 5! I find that when I crave sugary foods, it's because my blood sugars levels are off and my body is craving instant sugar.

  3. I don't have the answer, I am doing the 12WBT and I can't seem to get past my usual lowest weight, yet 2 years ago I got down another 4 kilos. I keep sneaking treats and I know I'm only ripping myself off. I keep saying tomorrow. I just need to get on with it. I've made a decision to not bake biscuits or the like for my family for the remainder of the challenge, that should help a lot.

  4. I also have absolutely NO self control around chocolate, especially dark chocolate ... mmmmmm. And, it's even harder to keep the weight off now I'm staring menopause in the face, darn it!

  5. I did that too. Then a few years ago, I took off the weight again and kept it off. Except for a couple of kilo's here and there. They come on each time I go on holiday and never seem to leave.
I'm still looking for the solution to this, so follow me and I'll follow you and hopefully we will find an answer :)

    1. Sounds good! We can help each other out! I know my exercising isn't what it should be, its very intermittent, good for one week then out the window for the next, and if fast food weren't so bloody convenient when one can't be bothered cooking! It would probably be easier!

  6. I know the feeling! Look at me now compared to wedding me! Trying desperately to lose some weight but the chocolate gets me everytime!

  8. I remember losing about 15 before my wedding and after kids it all turned to shit. I've managed to lose some slowing but I just don't buy it anymore because I have very little self control. They say it's 80 per cent food and 20 exercise, and I agree. I have found some of my willpower. If you find the answer you'll be a millionaire overnight :)

  9. Recognising it is the first step and most important. I try not to buy chocolates etc but lollies are my weakness. Sadly I have a real sweet tooth. I try to avoid 'that' aisle when I am doing groceries..
